Privacy notice

PT Express (Precision Tech (Pty) Ltd) respects your privacy and handles your personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This notice explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

Contact and delivery details — name, mobile number, email address, delivery address.
Order information — what you've ordered, your monthly list, delivery day, payment status.
Messages — what you send us on WhatsApp or through the "Request an item" form, including items you've asked us to source.
Website use — cookies needed for the site to work (your cart, your login) and basic analytics.

We do not store your card details. PayFast processes card payments and handles your card information under its own privacy policy.

Why we use it

To confirm, deliver, and invoice your orders.
To run your monthly list — including sending the reminder before each delivery.
To answer your questions and source items you've requested.
To meet legal and accounting obligations.

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising. We'll only send you marketing messages if you've asked for them, and you can opt out at any time.

Who we share it with

Only with people who need it to serve you: our delivery driver (name, address, phone number, order), our payment provider (PayFast), and our accountant where required by law. We don't share your information beyond that.

How long we keep it

We keep it for as long as you have an account or a monthly list with us, and afterward for as long as tax and accounting law requires (currently five years for transaction records). We keep item requests and WhatsApp conversations while they're relevant to serving you.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required by law to keep it. To do any of these, or to lodge a complaint, contact us below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Regulator (www.inforegulator.org.za).
